Location: Warraq Island north bank, Giza, Egypt — meeting point at the ferry landing (30.0906° N, 31.2094° E)
What we do: Shoreline plastic removal, waste sorting and weighing, plus a water sample for the live monitoring map.
Bring: Closed shoes, a hat, a refillable water bottle. Gloves, bags, grabbers and high-vis vests are provided. Ages 12+ (under 16 with an adult).

1. Email us at info@thenilecleanup.org with the subject “Warraq Island cleanup” and your name, phone number and group size.
2. Get your confirmation — we reply within two working days with the exact meeting point, ferry times and the team lead’s number.
3. Show up — check in at the registration table, get your kit and join a crew of eight.

Spots are capped at 80 volunteers. Companies and schools bringing 10+ people should contact us first so we can assign a dedicated stretch.

Donations pay for equipment, local crews, monitoring stations and education material. Every euro is spent inside the basin.
